12 Student Safety

Student safety must be a holistic and individualized approach for all students. I care about students’ mental health and physical well-being. I have experience implementing Responsive Classroom and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports to improve student well-being. Proving students with mental health support and services is also a key component in student safety. A school must have clear expectations and policies for all students.

14 Family Engagement

As a Face Action Team Coordinator, I led a team that of diverse stakeholders in developing diverse family engagement initiatives. Each initiative is directly connected to student achievement. The artifact is an example of one of these activities. I developed my own version of Parent-Teacher-Teams to partner with families in supporting student’s math journey.
